NEW
ART BRUT ALBUM OUT NOW!!
International indie hit makers Art Brut have released
their new album, It's A Bit Complicated. Produced by Dan Swift (Snow Patrol,
Kasabian), the bands second album sees Eddie Argos and co growing up,
writing some punk songs, and being a bit confused about adult life in
London.
After debut album Bang Bang Rock & Roll launched Art Brut's career
as a world-wide cult act, the band spent 2 years touring Europe, USA,
and even playing shows in Russia, Mexico and Brazil. After supporting
Oasis in Germany the band found themselves on the cover of Rolling Stone,
and a Berlin university gave lectures on their lyrics. Said Eddie Argos,
"It's amazing! It was called the 'Depressive Dandy', apparently they
think I'm an intellectual. I tell them that I'm not, but they don't believe
me. I'm an idiot! I'm drunk!"
Drunk or sober, It's A Bit Complicated is a critics favourite around the
world. From Pitchfork to NME and The Guardian, the album has been receiving
rave reviews. After selling out their biggest UK tour to date, Art Brut
are spending the summer performing at festivals around the world before
returning to headline duty in Germany and USA in autumn.
Despite all the praise, Eddie has a simple outlook. "If you're in
a band you want to be successful, but we began just to make friends with
people. I want to be friends with Lyndsay Lohan now. It's my new aim!"
