
MATTEO SAGGESE

Matteo is originally from the South of Italy. He is a classically trained Italian composer who graduated with honours from The Naples Conservatory and continued his musical training in Rome at the S. Appollinare Academy for Composition, where he also studied arranging and conducting.
Matteo is now based in London and has had his compositions covered by an international list of artists. His pop songs have been sung by Zucchero, Randy Crawford, Omar and Mina. His classical-crossover output has been popularised by artists including Bottcelli, The Two Tenors, Marcelo Alvarez and Salvatore Licitra, Hayley Westenra, Mario Frangoulis, Russell Watson, Alfie Boe, and Alessandro Safino. Matteo has also written for the three highly successful Il Divo albums, including their duet with Celine Dion which was also included on her album S'il Suffisait D'Aimer. Il Divo are a successful act around the world, selling in excess of 20 million albums.
Recognised for his soaring Italian melodies and Neopolitan arrangements, Matteo's talents span from Conducting & Arranging for the San Remo Festival, to writing and recording compositions across the genres of pop and classical.
