Writer, producer, underground dance artist, creator of music behind some of the best known visuals on TV – Gez is a man of versatile creative guises.
Gez has had two tracks chart at number
one in the Buzz Charts in same month; he co-wrote and produced the MYNC Project
Something On Your Mind (signed to CR2 and released by Universal Records imprint
Apollo); he collaborated with legendary House DJ Danny Rampling on Strobe Light,
which has been earmarked as record of the year for many DJs around the world.
Firmly established as a creator for bespoke music across many genres, Gez writes for branded ads, TV, computer games and new multimedia. Syncs include Bacardi Breezer, BT , Guinness, BBC TV I-dents, CSI Miami, Vodafone, Sony PlayStation & PSP games as well as many library recordings.
Gez originally worked at EMI and
Virgin prior to landing a job at MTV at 22 as their youngest Producer/Director,
responsible for the groundbreaking dance show Partyzone. Years later he would
pioneer scratch video on MTV on cult dance show Megamix. In between came underground
and more commercial dance releases with fellow collaborators under various
monikers, including Do-ing, The Oval Five, Heliotropic, Tenth Planet, Fable,
Random House Project and The Experiment, spawning some seminal tracks and
big club anthems.
More recently, Gez Dewar and Justin Robertson have teamed up to create Thee Earls, and played at 2007's Bestival Festival on the Isle Of Wight.
