GRASSSKIRT
Grassskirt´s first international album release took form after Music For Dreams label boss Kenneth Bager heard a demo from Jørn K, combining this with his very own Balearic sound that later would become the unique and very beautiful, sound of Grassskirt.
It also features the wonderful voice of the Blue Note artists Cæcilie Nordby and Myrtha Wolf amongst others.
The 10 tracks, which are fuelled with a special Balearic feel that captures moods, soul and love, really showing where Grasskirt is coming from. Pure love for music and dreams!
The debut album Hey
Music Lover starts of with the melancholic and beautiful On My Own,
which is the first of four tracks with guest vocalist Cæcilie Nordby.
After that the listener is taken on a musical trip into the global sound of
digital calypso, tango and jazz given to us the Grassskirt way.
The album shows why Jørn K is admired by DJ´s around the world
such as Ravin (Buddha Bar), Phil Mison (Real Ibiza), Chris Coco (BBC Radio 1)
and Jonathan Sa Trincha (Salinas Sessions). Their songs have had numerous licences
worldwide and a lot of sync activity.
