KENNETH BAGER

Out of a hazy mist and dubby atmosphere, a whistle theme delicately grows, accompanied by a faint sound of deep-sea sonar - very atmospheric indeed. With the entrance of a voice, the original happy mood of the simple melody is stretched into a six minute long track with added harmonica. And mark my words: It is bound to stick in your mind and pop up unexpectedly as a whistle in the shower, or while reading on the bus.

In a sense, the track pays homage to the long career of an uncompromisingly original mind, a career that started in 1979 when Kenneth Bager won local DJ championship.

Relocating to Copenhagen Kenneth proved to be a breath of fresh air in the established nightlife. Eventually his ideas, the wild crazy parties, his remixing and commercially defined a generation for clubbing.

With Fragment One - the first single from the album called Fragments of a Spacecadet by Kenneth Bager - he once again samples a fragment of current times spot on, and cleverly illustrates why this musical chameleon is still up front.
