MIDI MAFIA UPDATE

Grammy nominated writer / production duo MIDI Mafia have had a busy few months; they have just finished working with John Legend and Brandy on a track for John's forthcoming album. As well working with Brandy on a track for her own record.

They have worked with David Archuleta (American Idol) on a track for his debut album due in November.

Their co-written / produced track Help Me for Bryn Christopher is due to be released as single early next year.

The guys are currently wrapping up Shire's new album which will be released on SRC/Universal next year, they will then start working again with Fantasia on material for their next release.

The Cutfather and Joe written and produced song If This Is Love for The Saturdays has entered the charts at number 8 - this week's highest new entry.

CUTFATHER & JONAS JEBERG WORKING WITH LEMAR

British Soul sensation Lemar has recruited our very own Cutfather & Jonas Jeberg to help him work on his forthcoming album. The album is due out before the end of the year and is the follow up his 2006 album The Truth About Love which reached number 3 in the UK charts.

Cutfather & Jonas Jeberg have been very busy lately hitting the studio with recent Intercope signing Jordyn Taylor and working on Pixie's debut. Pixie has also been working with Kookie on songs for the album which will be released in the UK via Mercury.

Quiz & Larossi and Cutfather & Jonas Jeberg have both been working with Polydor's hot new girl band, The Saturdays. Big things are expected from the girls, and Cutfather & Joe’s Yazoo-sampling If This Is Love is mooted as their first single. Quiz & Larossi’s co-write with Ina Wroldsen, Up!, is the likely second single release from the girls in 2008.

QUIZ & LAROSSI AND CUTFATHER & JONAS WRITE WITH HEROES STAR HAYDEN PANETTIERE

Cutfather and Jonas Jeberg are currently writing with Hayden Panettiere star of NBC's US mega hit TV show Heroes. Hayden has already writen with XL's Quiz & Larossi late last year, her debut release is due out on Hollywood Records. She is a rising young star in the states having also appeared in Ally McBeal and Malcolm in the Middle.

XL Talent’s newest charges MIDI Mafia recently worked with Polydor Record’s new soul act Bryn Christopher. Bryn’s got an amazing voice and cites Sam Cooke and Otis Reading as his influences. These recordings with the Mafia really make it obvious how special he is – watch out for the record later in the year. MIDI Mafia have also been working with Brandy on new material in the States for Knockout Entertainment / Epic. Other producers involved in the project include The Neptunes and Rodney Jerkins.

Marking a sensational week for XL's clients, Per Magnusson & David Kreuger and Jorgen Elofsson take the top three album positions - Per & David have a song on Leona Lewis' album, and produced one track for Westlife and 4 tracks for Katherine Jenkins, whilst Jorgen has a total of 4 songs on the three albums. Quiz & Larossi make it a terrific client triple for XL with their Westlife production.

Quiz Larossi and Per & David produce most of the Christmas Edition of Paul Potts' hugely successful debut album One Chance which went to number one in no less then six countries earlier this year.

The Christmas Edition boasts 3 productions by Per & David and 6 productions from Quiz Larossi, who also arranged the 4 festive favourites on the limited edition double CD.

Kookie has co-written Siouxsie Sioux's first single on her upcoming debut album due out on Universal.

Cutfather & Jonas Jeberg's work with global superstar Kylie Minogue has resultedin two songs (which where also produced by the pair) on X, her 10th studio album and first since 2003's Body Language.

The producer / songwriters have been in high demand having just finished working with r'n'b sensation Nina Sky on her hit single Get Your Clothes Off. They have also worked with star of the hugely popular High School The Musical Corbin Bleu including his single Deal With It.

John Fortis has been busy in the studio, producing tracks for up & coming singer / songwriter Elviin Recently signed to Virgin Records, Elviin is a south London based artiste influenced by the likes of D'Angelo, Al Green and Outkast.
